ANGEL Introduction
Our goal is to provide MSU GAs/TAs with an overview of core ANGEL information to assist in developing and teaching courses using the ANGEL system.
Topics to be covered include:
- Navigating and customizing the ANGEL Home page
- How MSU courses become available on ANGEL
- Enabling courses
- Summary of the 8 available tabs in an ANGEL course, with the most focus on the Lessons, Communicate, and Manage tabs
- Lessons – adding content, choosing specific content settings, tracking, using the Utilities and Reports menus
- Communicate – ANGEL mail
- Manage – editing the roster, creating teams, brief overview of key gradebook components, course settings, backup/restore
ANGEL Gradebook
Our goal is to provide MSU GAs/TAs with detailed information concerning ANGEL gradebook functionality so the gradebook can be used as desired throughout courses.
Topics to be covered include:
- Gradebook Setup – gradebook mode, grade display options, and other preferences
- Gradebook Management – creating and editing categories, creating and editing assignments, setting up a grading scale
- Entering and Editing Grades – synchronizing items under Lessons with the gradebook, manually entering or editing grades, importing and exporting grades
- Viewing and Printing grades
Podcasting
Hands-on experience with the technologies used to create podcasts, including:
- Audacity voice recording and editing,
- Camtasia screen captures of PowerPoint, and exporting to iPod video & mp3 files.
- File hosting in ANGEL & StoreMedia
