ANGEL Training Enrollment for Faculty*

LCTTP offers numerous ANGEL training sessions. These sessions are held in a computer lab to provide hands-on experience working with the ANGEL features. Topics covered in the ANGEL sessions are listed below.

Covers the basic ANGEL features that most people will use, including navigation, preferences, the toolbox, and calendar entries. An overview of courses is included, covering activity graphs, settings, resources, instructor tools, and reports.
ANGEL Content & Communication (3 hours)
Covers ANGEL lesson content including links, quizzes, surveys & polls, discussion forums and drop boxes.  Communication features include messages, announcements, chat rooms & whiteboards.

ANGEL Advanced Features (2 hours)
The Advanced Topics class will explore ways to customize your ANGEL course with the use of environmental variables and tokens. Learn how to personalize the student experience and indicate progression through course material, modify the course style sheet with custom graphics and globally change titles for re-usable course content.
ANGEL Gradebook (2 hours)
The ANGEL Gradebook has features that will allow scores to be calculated with points and/or percentages. This module will cover this feature, as well as, adding assignments, viewing and changing on-line graded assignments, entering grades for off-line assignments, determining grade categories and exporting the gradebook.
ANGEL Groups (2 hours)
Group is a strong feature within ANGEL and it has a variety of uses to aid interaction and communication within committees and units. MSU employees can create their own groups. Group is available anytime a connection to the internet is possible. ANGEL Group study will encompass why groups are useful, establishing groups, adding members, and member settings. Group communication tools and sharing of files will be detailed.
ANGEL Quizzes (3 hours)
The ANGEL quiz component offers a variety of question types and quiz settings. Building on the overview of quiz options provided in the ANGEL A session, the Quiz Module will focus on enhanced quiz features and customization. In-class activities include adding graphics and icons, manually grading quiz items and reviewing quiz reports and statistics. Advanced options, such as the use of actions to control the release of lesson content, will also be discussed.
